Our Capitol and District offices accept applications year-round for creative, hard-working interns. If you are a college student interested in broadening your knowledge of state and local government or exploring a career in public service, you are encouraged to apply.

Who can apply? College students interested in government, journalism, communications, or other related fields.
What kinds of internships are available? Part-time and full-time unpaid internships are available throughout the year. Internships during the school year are scheduled by semester. Summer internships are also available.
Can I get credit for the internship? Course credit may be available through your college or university. Prospective interns should discuss academic credit eligibility and requirements with their academic advisor or campus coordinator.
Where are internships offered? Internships are available – at both the Rancho Cucamonga District Office and the Capitol Office in Sacramento.
What is the job description? Interns work with professional staff on a variety of projects. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, preparing reports, researching legislative issues, compiling information to respond to constituent inquiries, assisting with community outreach efforts, handling incoming mail, aiding communications staff, media archiving, and general office duties.
